Mathnasium, a renowned leader in math education, is seeking an exceptional Math Tutor to join our team in Seal Beach, CA. As a Math Tutor at Mathnasium, you will play a vital role in creating an engaging and productive learning experience for students of all ages and skill levels. As a Math Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and tutoring services to students, both in-center and online, using the proprietary Mathnasium Method. This is a part-time, flexible position with shifts available on Sundays from 11am-3pm and Mondays through Thursdays from 2pm-7pm. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $16-$18 per hour, based on experience, and a dynamic work environment that is perfect for retirees, college students, and anyone passionate about math and education.
Job Responsibilities
As a Math Tutor at Mathnasium, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles
- Participating in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value, and communicating student progress and achievements
- Becoming proficient in digital educational materials and processes, including the Mathnasium Method and terminology
- Teaching in-center or online, using individualized instruction in a group setting, and assessing student progress throughout instructional sessions
- Evaluating, grading, and correcting student work and homework, and providing constructive feedback to support student growth and development
- Supporting the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, and assisting with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed

Essential Qualifications
