As a Senior Data Modeler at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in helping us unleash the power of retail data science. You will be responsible for imagining, developing, and maintaining data models that our Data Engineers, Scientists, and Analysts can rely on to build out capabilities that evolve the retail business model. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Stewards, and business stakeholders, to solve complex modeling and analytical challenges. Your expertise in data modeling will help us make better decisions faster, drive business growth, and improve our customers' lives.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic record and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. You should also have at least 10+ years of hands-on data warehousing experience, with a strong knowledge of different data modeling techniques for data warehousing, such as 3NF, Dimensional, and hybrid. Experience working on large-scale data warehouses (100 TB+) and operational data stores (ODS) is also required. Additionally, you should have significant experience in building data models for MPP, Relational, and NoSQL technologies, such as BigData, Hive, SQL*Server, Hadoop, Cassandra, Cloud DBs like Big Query, and/or Snowflake.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong technical skillset, including expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data analytics. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Additionally, you should be able to think critically and creatively, with a strong problem-solving ability and a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
