About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to join our Cards, Retail, and Merchant Services (CRMS) Operations Analytics team. As a senior lead, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your expertise in analytics, problem-solving, and strategic thinking will be essential in identifying opportunities, developing metrics, and implementing initiatives that optimize our customer collections method and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a consultant to management to develop or influence analytical techniques for complex business and technical needs
- Strategically engage, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and all levels of professionals across the organization, serving as a trusted advisor to management
- Lead the analysis and resolution of complex and unique challenges, providing solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of complex activities, including Business Intelligence and self-service solutions
- Provide vision, direction, and guidance to senior management on implementing innovative and large-scale business solutions that align with the organization
- Lead significant initiatives, teams, and/or mentor or manage less experienced staff, interns, and external contractors
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling, or Statistics experience, or equivalent experience proven through a combination of work experience, education, military experience, or training
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree or skill proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), SAS, Python, SQL Server development using Management Studio, Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services
- Experience working with multiple database systems, including Oracle, DB2, and Teradata
- Experience in the Financial Services industry with an emphasis on Consumer Lending, including Collections, Servicing, Small Business Lending, Credit Card, Retail Services, Personal Lending, and Deposit products
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to research, trend/analyze, synthesize, and perform complex analysis on critical data, then summarize and recommend new approaches and solutions based on those results
- Excellent presentation skills to relate a story tailored to audiences with diverse backgrounds via BI and other mediums backed by strong analytics and data
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work independently
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong analytical and technical skills to analyze complex data while paying attention to details and accuracy
- Experience building partnerships and engaging with other businesses and functional areas
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and implement change or suggest solutions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are essential
