Experienced Staff Accountant - Assurance & Advisory

They are seeking an Experienced Staff Accountant to perform audit and review procedures, assess risks, and supervise staff auditors, all while contributing to the firm's commitment to client service and professional development. Responsibilities Performing audit or review procedures, or assisting in other projects, as assigned Understanding the client’s business and industry and accounting and control systems Developing an understanding of SingerLewak’s audit approach Assessing risks and evaluating the client’s internal control structure Performing and documenting analytical procedures, substantive tests, and tests of controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues Reviewing or assisting in the drafting of financial statements and other client deliverables Supervising staff auditors as required Skills Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field At least one year of experience in public accounting Must be CPA eligible and working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam, or holds a current and valid CPA's license Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in English Ability to travel to assigned client locations, as needed Ability to perform most phases of a client engagement, from planning to issuance Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States and United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards Company Overview SingerLewak is an accounting company that specializes in accounting and consulting services.
