We need someone to audit our financial decision engine - basically, make sure our app gives advice that's both financially sound AND actually doable for someone crying over their credit card statement at midnight. What You'll Actually Do: Review our financial advisory rules and call BS when we're being too "textbook" Flag advice that's technically correct but completely unrealistic for our users Ensure every recommendation passes the test: "Would this help my stressed friend or make them feel worse?" Spot blind spots where our logic fails real-world messy situations Help us nail the balance between "financially optimal" and "humanly possible" You're Perfect If: You've helped real people with real money problems (not just the already-wealthy) You know why people making $45K don't "just max out their 401k" You've seen financial advice fail and understand why You can explain complex financial concepts like you're talking to your anxious little sister You believe in meeting people where they are, not where they "should" be Non-Negotiables: Experience with clients under 40 who stress about money You understand behavioral finance (why people do "irrational" things with money) You can spot predatory/harmful patterns in financial products Bonus Points: You've worked in fintech or consumer apps You've personally been broke and figured it out You get why "just stop buying coffee" is terrible advice CFP/ChFC certification (but real-world experience matters more) The Vibe Check: We're not building for people who read The Wall Street Journal for fun.
