Role Overview As a Financial Analytics Intern, you will work closely with our strategy and analytics teams to analyze large-scale financial datasets, build forecasting models, and create dashboards that guide investment decisions, risk assessments, and operational planning. This internship is designed for those who want practical exposure to applying analytics and data science techniques in the financial domain. Key Responsibilities • Collect, clean, and structure financial data from multiple sources (market feeds, company reports, transactional systems). • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns in revenue, expenses, risk exposure, and market trends. • Build predictive and statistical models for financial forecasting, portfolio performance, and credit/risk evaluation. • Develop dashboards and visualizations using Python, SQL, and BI tools to communicate financial insights. • Apply time-series analysis for trend forecasting (stock prices, market indices, financial KPIs). • Work with supervised and unsupervised ML techniques for areas like fraud detection, segmentation, and profitability analysis. • Present actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders through clear reports and data storytelling. Requirements • Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields. • Working knowledge of SQL for handling relational financial datasets. • Understanding of statistics & probability, including hypothesis testing and financial distributions. • Familiarity with financial concepts such as ROI, risk metrics, P&L, and valuation methods. • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Nice to Have • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI / Tableau / Looker). • Exposure to financial modeling, trading simulations, or portfolio optimization. • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) for data handling.
