Food Product and Menu Development Specialist

Location: Seattle, WA (Headquarters – Hybrid) Employment Type: Part-Time, Salaried About the Role: Are you passionate about crafting new flavors and keeping up with the latest food trends? Lune Cafe is looking for a creative and innovative Product Developer to join our Research & Development department in Seattle, WA. What You'll Do: - Develop and refine seasonal products that delight our customers, from concept to launch. - Experiment with new ingredients, brands, and flavor profiles to keep our offerings fresh and exciting. - Conduct market research to stay ahead of culinary trends and understand customer preferences. - Collaborate closely with our R&D team to ensure every new product aligns with Lune Cafe’s mission and quality standards. - Attend a weekly hybrid strategy meeting to determine goals and priorities for the week. - Perform hands-on product development work in-person while conducting research, planning, and reporting remotely. - Generate product development reports using Google Docs and Sheets. - Analyze item-level sales and performance data to guide product iterations and pricing strategies (menu engineering). Qualifications and What We’re Looking For: - Someone with a flair for innovation and a keen sense of taste. - Strong organizational skills to manage product timelines, experiments, and documentation. - Familiarity with Google Docs and Sheets to track progress and share insights. - Experience in product development, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus. - Experience or interest in menu engineering — analyzing contribution margins and optimizing product mix. - Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into delicious new products. - Strong teamwork skills and a passion for continuous improvement. -Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok trends and formats to help inform product development and align offerings with current customer interests.
