Job Overview and Responsibilities
As a Preschool Group Leader, you will play a vital role in providing direct support and supervision to our students, working under the guidance of our certified Early Childhood/Special Education Teacher. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing large and small group instruction, as well as one-on-one lessons and activities, to support the educational and personal growth of our students
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Supporting students with personal care needs, such as feeding, potty training, and medical/life skills assistance
- Maintaining accurate student records, collecting data, and assisting with progress monitoring
- Supervising students during recess, before/after school, and during transitions on and off the school bus
- Preparing instructional materials, modifying lesson plans, and adapting activities to support the participation of students with disabilities
- Collaborating with certified staff to ensure student access to their educational environment, safety, and security
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a current Colorado Level 3 credential through Colorado Shines or two college classes in Early Childhood Development and Guidance Strategies for Children
- Universal Precaution certification, with CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
- The ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally
- Basic operating knowledge of general office equipment, such as computers, fax, and copy machines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
While not required, the following qualifications and experience are preferred:
- Previous experience working with preschool-age children, particularly those with disabilities or from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, practices, and regulations
- Experience with data collection, progress monitoring, and record-keeping
- Familiarity with IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and other special education documents
- Basic knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $18.61 - $22.96 per hour, based on previous experience, with a 9-month work calendar and paid benefits over 12 months. Our benefits package includes:
