Get to Know Your Team: • Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Responsibilities The Infection Preventionist plays a vital role in preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) by limiting the spread of transmission and unprotected exposure to pathogens in order to ensure a safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors. Qualifications Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, Microbiology, or Public Health. • 1+ years' experience in hands-on Infection Control. • Certification in Infection Control (CIC). • Membership in APIC (Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) within 1 year of hire. • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills such as fractions, percentages, and rates to practical situations. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role. Apply tot his job
