About the position Responsibilities • Virtually manage instructional programs for English Learners in collaboration with general education teachers. • Coordinate language proficiency screenings and language testing, ensuring compliance with state timelines. • Attend professional development trainings related to Title III compliance and instruction. • Collaborate with students' teachers to support learning and conduct timely parent conferences. • Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction. • Become proficient with supplemental programs to support English Learners and interpret data within these programs. • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to enhance student understanding. • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and teachers regarding assessments and student progress. • Keep student records and data up-to-date, including EL Data Views and attendance accounting. • Consult with other teachers to develop enrichment activities and supports for students. • Implement virtual methods to maintain a school community. • Work with teachers and counselors to ensure appropriate communications and student progress. Requirements • Valid ESL certification for grades 3-12 in Minnesota. • Experience directly teaching English Learners preferred. • Bilingual preferred, but not required. • Strong technology skills, especially with Google Suite. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Customer-focused approach. • High degree of flexibility. • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. • Proven team player.
