Online Dual-Credit Human Geography Instructor

IPERC is looking for two freelance experienced educators to join our Ready Global Academy team. The successful candidate will have a passion for international education and for helping students learn, grow, and develop. Ready Global Academy Dual Credit instructors will teach online courses in a variety of subjects to international high school students, so candidates should have experience teaching high school students. Class times are flexible and can be built around an instructor's schedule and availability. PLEASE NOTE: The instructor will need to first go through a 3-step verification process with our partner university to be able to start teaching the course. Job Responsibilities • Prepare and deliver a daily lesson plan • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities • Provide a variety of learning materials for use in educational activities • Observe and evaluate student performance and development • Assign and grade class work, assignments, and tests Job Qualifications • Master's degree majoring in Human Geography or any relevant field (Required) • Previous teaching experience in a high school/college setting (Required) • Previous teaching experience in Human Geography/Geography/Geology (Required) • Familiar with the US high school/college level tests format and test sites • Certification or license in the related field and/or teaching • Strong communication skills • Problem-solver • Professional in appearance and demeanor • Ability to multi-task • High energy level • Reliability and Flexibility • Preferred Job Qualifications • Preferred teaching time is 7am - 11:30am EST or 8 pm -11:30 pm EST (2.5 hours sessions, 16 sessions per 2-month semester), as most of our classes will be scheduled during these times • Have a flexible schedule for classes • Experience working with ESL or international students • Experience teaching online • Experience teaching AP courses Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $60.00 - $85.00 per hour Schedule: • Evenings as needed • Monday to Friday Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
