Duties • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with educational standards and meets the needs of all students. • Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience and facilitate interactive learning. • Design instructional materials that promote critical thinking and creativity among students. • Provide tutoring support to students needing additional assistance in specific subject areas. • Proofread and evaluate student assignments, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement. • Incorporate standardized testing preparation into lesson plans to help students achieve their academic goals. • Engage in academic advising, guiding students on course selections and future educational paths. • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Skills • Strong skills in curriculum development and instructional design to create effective lesson plans. • Proficiency in learning technology tools that enhance teaching methodologies. • Excellent proofreading abilities with attention to detail for evaluating student work. • Creative writing skills that inspire students' expression and engagement with content. • Familiarity with standardized testing practices and requirements. • Background in journalism or knowledge of the Chicago Manual Style is a plus for enhancing communication skills within the classroom.
