We manage every detail from onboarding to terminations, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and audit preparation. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable HR Support Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role requires urgency, precision, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy. About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Compliance Specialist to support accurate, compliant payroll processing in a fast-paced HR environment. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on Paycom payroll processing, garnishments, understanding of earning codes, and wage compliance. This position supports multiple clients and requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance judgment. Prior Paycom experience is required. Key Responsibilities • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll in Paycom • Administer and manage wage garnishments (child support, tax levies, liens) • Apply and audit earning codes (regular, overtime, PTO, bonuses, reimbursements) • Review and validate timecards and punches prior to payroll close • Ensure payroll reflects actual hours worked in compliance with wage and hour laws • Support HR with terminations, final pay, and payroll corrections • Maintain payroll documentation for audit readiness • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies • Partner with HR to ensure payroll actions align with compliance standards Required Qualifications • 2–5 years of payroll processing experience • Hands-on Paycom experience (required) • Experience processing garnishments • Strong understanding of earning codes and payroll wage calculations • Knowledge of payroll compliance in an HR-controlled environment • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently in a remote setting Preferred Qualifications • Multi-state payroll experience • Experience supporting hourly workforces • Familiarity with termination and final pay processing • Prior experience in a compliance-driven or audit-sensitive environment What We Offer • Fully remote position • Competitive compensation based on experience • Structured HR and payroll processes • Opportunity to work in a compliance-focused environment • Collaborative and professional team culture Ideal Candidate • Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and urgency in meeting deadlines. • Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills. • Is adaptable and confident working under pressure with minimal supervision.
