Product Designer & UX Researcher

Position Overview We're seeking a founding Product Designer & UX Researcher to design cutting-edge user experiences at the intersection of Web3 and AI. You'll uncover human needs, create innovative interaction patterns, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences. With the AI tools available today you are more productive, more versatile and more creative than you were even a year ago. You are a tastemaker and an opinionated creative. What You’ll Do User Research & Discovery Plan and execute mixed-method research including user interviews, diary studies, A/B tests, and analytics Identify pain points related to common web3 patterns such as liveness, safety, privacy, self-custody…etc. Use frameworks and methods such as Jobs-to-be-Done, user personas, user centered design, discovery and framing to define insights and personas Product & Interaction Design Design novel user interactions and flows including AI-assisted ones. Examples of instances where this applies are transaction previews, privacy controls, intent-aware wallets, and recovery experiences Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that prioritize user delight over friction Iterate through testing and validation cycles Design System Development Extend and maintain component libraries in Figma and code Develop tokenized, accessible design patterns that scale across products Document design decisions and maintain comprehensive design guidelines Define design systems for our dApps Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner daily with Product Managers and Engineers to scope features and experiences Maintain continuous research feedback loops with quarterly learning goals Manage participant panels and share insights that influence product roadmap Community Engagement Host design workshops with external developers Contribute to the Rialo community and promote accessibility and inclusivity standards Required Qualifications 8+ years building and shipping digital products (web & mobile) 2+ years specifically in Web3 environments Mixed-methods research proficiency - ability to choose appropriate research methods and balance quantitative data with qualitative insights End-to-end design portfolio demonstrating the complete process from research insights to shipped features with measurable outcomes Must show high proficiency in using AI at every step of the product design lifecycle Advanced design systems knowledge including component-driven design, variants, auto-layout, and design tokens in Figma or similar tools Web3 technical fluency understanding signing, gas fees, MEV, zero-knowledge proofs, and trusted execution environments Clear communication skills for written specifications, video walkthroughs, and asynchronous design critiques Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and low-ego approach to teamwork Preferred Qualifications Experience designing data-heavy interfaces or trading platforms Background in fintech product design Familiarity with Web3 developer tooling and SVM developer stack Knowledge of emerging AI interaction patterns including agentic flows, explainability, and prompt UX design
