Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking an Account Manager for their Commercial Lines department. The role involves managing a portfolio of small commercial accounts, providing exceptional client service, and ensuring all insurance needs are met efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for small commercial clients, providing timely and professional service support
- Manage policy renewals, coverage changes, certificates, billing questions, and other service needs
- Process endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and promptly
- Coordinate with Mavrix Insurance Advisors and carriers to resolve service issues and ensure client satisfaction
- Prepare summaries and present recommendations in collaboration with Mavrix Insurance Advisors
- Submit applications and supplementals to carriers for quoting as needed
- Identify opportunities for coverage improvements or upselling appropriate to client needs
- Maintain accurate, complete client files in the agency management system (EPIC)
- Ensure all documentation and servicing activity complies with agency standards and E&O best practices
- Support transition to Applied digital tools and/or other client service platforms with a focus on consistency and efficiency
Skills
- High School graduate/GED required
- 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management
- Active P&C license required
- Strong knowledge of small commercial lines, including GL, WC, BOP, Auto, and Umbrella
- Proficient in MS Office, namely Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Familiarity with agency management systems (preferably EPIC)
