The Director of Business Development will lead growth initiatives and define business strategies to identify new markets and partnership opportunities for PBFL’s mobile financial services.
Responsibilities

- Oversee lead generation activities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships
- Manage key accounts to support long-term revenue growth
- Develop business plans
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, and operations teams
- Ensure that commercial initiatives align with regulatory requirements and company objectives
- Negotiate high-impact contracts
- Monitor performance metrics
- Continuously refine the go-to-market approach in line with market trends and customer needs
Skills
- Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Business Planning to drive strategic growth initiatives
- Proficiency in Lead Generation and Account Management to build, nurture, and retain key client relationships
- Strong capability in Contract Negotiation to secure favorable terms with partners and stakeholders
- Proven leadership experience in business development, preferably in fintech, financial services, or digital products
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience working in or with emerging markets and understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage
