They are seeking a Sales Director for North America to develop and optimize sales strategies, build relationships with key customers, and drive business growth in the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and optimize regional sales strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives, to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets for HC Scientific’s product portfolio
- Identify, prioritize and map key customers (including enterprises, research institutions and government agencies) within the North American territory, build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Drive sustainable business growth by expanding the customer base, penetrating untapped market segments, and maximizing sales volume and customer lifetime value with existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling strategies
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to track market trends, gather market intelligence, analyze competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and identify new business opportunities, customer pain points and unmet needs
- Represent the company as a brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows and professional conferences across North America, responsible for product promotion, brand building and networking with potential customers, industry experts and partners
- Collaborate closely with the global product, R&D and marketing teams to provide regional market feedback, support localized marketing initiatives and ensure product positioning meets regional customer demands
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Molecular Biology or a related life sciences field; proficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, SNP detection) is a must, with hands-on experience in related experiments preferred
- At least 5 years of proven sales experience in selling automated molecular detection tools and associated consumables; experience in the automation, liquid handling, or modern agriculture markets is a significant advantage. Prior experience in leading sales teams or managing the North American market is highly desirable
- Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, demonstrating strong business acumen and the ability to drive growth in a competitive market
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in an international, dynamic and fast-paced team environment
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in other North American regional languages is a plus. Familiarity with North American life science market regulations and industry norms is preferred
