The Senior Director of Planners will lead and empower a team of financial planners, ensuring they provide life-changing advice while integrating technology to enhance their effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale the Planning Leadership Team, coaching them to be world-class developers of talent who master the human elements of advice
- Serve as the VP’s operational proxy, leading the management layer independently and making high-stakes tactical decisions
- Own the delivery of core metrics – pod NPS, planner capacity, and member action on advice – across a large, scaling workforce, ensuring high volume never dilutes quality
- Lead the organization through the adoption of new technology, ensuring planners retool their skills to act as connectors to our team of experts and products
- Drive functional alignment to ensure all members have a high quality experience at every touchpoint
- Translate complex business strategies into an inspiring 'why' that drives organizational action and talent growth
Skills
- CFP® Designation (Required)
- 12+ years of experience in financial planning or related services; direct experience as a financial planner required
- 5+ years of 'manager of managers' experience
- Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, emotional intelligence, and complex problem solving skills
- Proven track record of leading large organizations (50+) through rapid growth and change
- FinTech experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Deep expertise and/or experience in specialized advice (e.g. tax, estate planning, insurance) is a plus, but not a requirement
