Avaap is seeking a certified Workday Senior Consultant – Adaptive Planning (Financials) Lead to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning solutions for finance organizations. This role serves as the functional lead for Adaptive Planning engagements, partnering closely with finance and business leaders to modernize budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, financial reporting, and long-range planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead a minimum of 3 Workday Adaptive Planning implementation and optimization engagements
- Serve as the Functional Lead for Adaptive Planning workstreams, owning solution design, client communications, and overall delivery
- Facilitate discovery sessions and design workshops with finance and business stakeholders to understand planning, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and reporting requirements
- Design scalable Adaptive Planning solutions that align with organizational objectives and finance best practices
- Configure and deploy Adaptive Planning models including sheets, dimensions, levels, versions, accounts, assumptions, calculations, allocations, security, and reporting
- Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, management reports, and KPI reporting solutions
- Collaborate with Workday Financials, HCM, Integrations, Prism Analytics, and technical teams to deliver integrated planning solutions
- Lead testing strategy, defect resolution, deployment planning, end-user training, and knowledge transfer activities
- Provide strategic recommendations on planning process improvements, governance, and solution optimization
- Mentor consultants and analysts while contributing to delivery excellence and practice development
- Participate in solution demonstrations, proposal development, project estimation, and other pre-sales activities

- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
- Demonstrated success leading Workday Adaptive Planning (Financial Planning) implementations from discovery through post-production support
- Experience serving as the Functional Lead on at least three end-to-end Workday Adaptive Planning implementations within Higher Education and/or Government organizations
- Proven ability to lead solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, client training, and knowledge transfer throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Experience partnering with finance leaders to modernize budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and strategic financial planning processes
- Experience supporting Workday Financial Management implementations and integrated planning solutions
