Accountant, Commercial Accounting, is responsible for providing tactical and analytical support for financial close for business activities related primarily to our Land segment. This role will work closely with middle and back office teams and also support our Commercial organization on various activities. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial closing including journal entries, analysis and financial review Develop detail account reconciliations including analytics and flux analysis Support FPA and other finance teams in management reporting and analysis Coordinate and collaborate with, and provide support to, Middle Office, Operations and Commercial Teams Adhere to corporate policies, US GAAP and predefined SOX controls to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (BS, BA, etc.) in Finance or Accounting Relevant experience as a Junior or staff-level accounting role; preferably with experience in accounting for complex revenues, derivatives and commodities inventory Must understand the flow of information, interaction of systems (ETRM and ERP) and be vocal in highlighting areas of issues and concerns. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional team environment Experience with “agile” practices is a plus ·CPA or CPA candidate preferred What can we offer?
