I'm the technical founder of a fintech platform in specialty lending. We've built the core loan platform — origination, servicing, pricing engines, backend APIs — and we're about to launch. I need a senior Product Lead to take execution off my plate so I can focus on the AI and data layer that's next.
This is not a "write PRDs and hand them to engineers" role. You will own platform execution end-to-end: backlog, roadmap, sprint planning, partner and vendor integrations, requirements intake from me and the CEO, and day-to-day coordination with the developer team. You will be the single point of ownership for everything that ships.
Starting at ~20 hours/week with a clear path to full-time once we see it's working. I'd rather start part-time with the right senior person than full-time with the wrong one.
What you'll own
-The backlog, roadmap, and sprint execution
-Partner integrations (API coordination, integration testing, escalation)
-Vendor management on the technical side — evaluating APIs, gathering requirements, holding vendors accountable
-Requirements intake from leadership, translated into something engineers can actually build
Documentation, workflow consistency, and delivery accountability
Who I'm looking for
-7+ years in product management, with at least 3 years shipping fintech or lending products (LOS, loan servicing, pricing, underwriting, or adjacent). This is a hard requirement — please don't apply if you don't have direct lending experience.
-You've actually run sprint cycles with engineering teams, not just written specs
-You've managed third-party API integrations and know how to navigate the political and contractual sides, not just the technical
-Agency and initiative. You see what needs to happen and move. You're comfortable pushing back on me or the CEO when the right answer is "no" or "not yet."
-AI-fluent. You're already using Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent in your daily work. If you're not, this isn't the role.Strong written communication — you'll be writing specs and partner-facing docs constantly
-US timezone overlap required (US or Latin America based is fine)
Nice to have
-Solar, renewables, or specialty finance background
-Early-stage / pre-launch experience where process is still being built
-IT audit or compliance familiarity (SOC 2, partner due diligence)
What this grows into
If things go well, this becomes a full-time Head of Product role. I'm not looking for someone to fill a slot — I'm looking for someone who wants to own the product function of a fintech platform as it scales.
