WellnessFi provides bookkeeping and tax advisory service to group and private practice wellness professionals. We are looking for a Tax Advisor to fill an individual contributor level position with shared resources. This role provides tax compliance and front-facing client support activities. The Tax Advisor advises a portfolio of clients on basic to moderate tax and accounting matters as well as provides services around tax compliance, including submissions and correspondence support. Duties/Responsibilities: Oversees the advisory and tax management function for multiple company clients. Shares entry and mid-level bookkeepers in the organizations. Conducts client communications via phone, email, and virtual/screen sharing to advise clients on their tax, accounting, and other small-business matters. Creates business relationships with client rosters that contain up to 75+ basic and moderate clients. Provides reporting, statements, and analysis that are individualized to the client needs. Provides tax compliance to clients, which includes, but is not limited to: Reviews of basic to moderate businesses and individual tax returns, both quarterly and annually, including gathering all necessary documentation Prepares correct return documents and filing paperwork on behalf of the clients according to federal, state, and local filing deadlines Submissions of S-Corp elections Provides IRS Correspondence support and resolution Leads the direction of tax staff and bookkeepers, providing technical-level guidance and support to entry-level staff. Required Skills/Abilities: Follows industry best practices and standard operating procedures established by the organization. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and is Humble, Hungry and Smart. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, IT driven environment. Intermediate to strong knowledge of IRS tax code or familiarity with tax concepts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to details. Ability to work additional extra hours (as needed) from January through April 15th. Education and Experience: 2+ years of tax experience. Bachelors in finance, business administration, accounting or similar type field. Enrolled Agent credentials preferred. Proven ability and familiarity to perform public accounting work. Familiarity with G-Suite and Microsoft 365 tools is required. Ability to work with, or willingness to learn, tools like Canopy, Gusto, & Loom. Physical Requirements: The position is remote, so you can work from wherever as long as you are reasonably available to interact with the team and clients on a reliable and consistent basis. Occasionally we meet up 1-on-1 or with other team members to work together, for meetings, and for conferences. Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000, based on skills and experience.
