About the Role

The successful candidate will be a specialist in Twentieth-Century African-American History, with a strong record of research and teaching. The Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies will teach a 2:2 load, comprising undergraduate and graduate courses in both departments, and supervise graduate students in History. The tenure-granting department will be History, with teaching duties split between History and African-American Studies.
