US - Accountant V

We are seeking a seasoned SOX Quality Assurance Analyst with 8+ years of experience to support a key project within a leading financial institution. In this role, you will be responsible for performing critical QA reviews of the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) testing team's work. If you have a background in the financial industry and a proven track record of working on SOX and ICFR projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a small, specialized team. salary: $51.4 - $55.63 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities Performs a variety of accounting functions on an advanced level basis; Works independently, prioritizes work load and effort with limited supervisory involvement Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and manage one s time. Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
