Life Skills Curriculum Designer, Alpha Anywhere (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

This role is not about teaching. It is about creating experiences that prompt adults to ask, "A kid accomplished that?" Alpha Anywhere operates as a remote program helping students ages 8–14 develop life skills through live workshops and authentic challenges—not passive lectures or fill-in-the-blank assignments. This position was created to transform a founder-led pilot into a scalable, faculty-operated program. You will design, lead, and refine the entire cycle. You will launch workshops, build independent challenges, facilitate feedback loops, and organize showcases where students confidently present their achievements. This is not a structured, closely-supervised position. You will be empowered to solve problems, elevate standards, and capture what succeeds so it can be transferred to others. What You Will Be Doing • Lead live, student-driven workshops where children perform the majority of speaking and activity while you adjust dynamically • Create independent, standalone challenges featuring defined mastery standards and concrete deliverables students can achieve with minimal direct assistance • Provide rapid, precise feedback that clarifies "what is my next step?" and produces quantifiable progress across the group • Refine workshops based on evidence (results, observations, recordings, participant input) and record adjustments so the program strengthens continuously • Organize showcases where students share their work with families and display visible development and self-assurance What You Won’t Be Doing • Execute a predetermined curriculum or deliver instruction from materials authored by others • Dedicate your time to grading, standardized test preparation, or compliance-focused administrative tasks • Navigate multiple approval stages before testing a concept, piloting an approach, or releasing an update • Depend on physical presence to generate engagement; you will foster connection and energy through a screen Life Skills Curriculum Designer Key Responsibilities This position exists to enable Alpha Anywhere to scale a faculty-led Life Skills program that reliably generates exceptional student results and supports substantial enrollment expansion beyond founder-led sessions. Basic Requirements • Experience designing and executing at least one complete experience from start to finish (program, game, camp, training, performance, or comparable) • Experience engaging directly with students ages 8–14 in any setting • Commanding virtual presence with articulate communication and capability to establish rapport on camera • Capacity to work 40 hours/week with 70%+ availability between 8am–8pm CT, Monday–Friday • Dependable internet connection and a professional, stable environment for virtual facilitation • Proven capacity to create within uncertainty, iterate rapidly, and maintain rigorous standards even when students face difficulty Nice-to-have Requirements • Background in experiential design (games, theater, youth programs, coaching, or startup-style development) • Experience creating objective rubrics, exemplars, or mastery-based assessments • Established practice of documenting and systematizing your methods so others can replicate and enhance them About Alpha Anywhere Bring accelerated learning home with personalized academics and life skills. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
