In this role, you will provide coverage for teacher absences and support for state testing. To be successful, you’ll need to be detail-oriented and initiative-taking.We need a broad thinker who can make suggestions, take constructive feedback with a good attitude and without pushback, and then go out and personally execute with diligence. If you like supporting student learning and engagement while maintaining a flexible schedule, we’re probably a good fit. This position is part-time and work from home. Job Duties• Serve all stakeholders with integrity, humility, and joy while consistently modeling the importance of both task competency and relationships;• Participate in Company events, activities, and meetings with a smile and an infectious, great attitude;• Effectively teach students across multiple sections by following lesson plans provided, delivering engaging and insightful lessons, and ensuring student learning of established curriculum using company tools;• Demonstrate ownership and alignment with company quality standards when working with students, parents, colleagues or others;• Maintain a courteous and positive demeanor in every interaction when responding to a wide range of inquiries from students, guardians, and colleagues;• Provide ongoing monitoring of student progress by providing effective grading feedback and intervening as needed to address gaps and deliver remediation;• Communicate with students about their lessons and offer positive feedback to aid in their development;• Support teachers in managing the online classroom by setting up sections, posting announcements, adding content, and managing video sessions;• Collaborate with peers and administrators in a professional, positive, and student-focused manner;• Provide essential proctoring services during periods of student testing including traveling to testing locations, setting up student testing materials, completing assessment training, and facilitating the test; and• All other duties as assigned.Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to consistently lead and serve others with humility, kindness, empathy, and joy;• Instruction, communication, technical, critical thinking, customer orientation, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail;• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain commitment, and convey challenging concepts to learners using a broad spectrum of technological tools and tactics;• Verifiably skilled in engaging unresponsive, struggling students;• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, collaborate with others, and effectively build relationships with students, families, and colleagues;• Able to quickly learn, use, and adapt new technology and systems;• Able to travel to physically proctor student assessments; and• Demonstrated professional oral and written communication skills.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Education or similar field required;• Ability to obtain Teacher licenses in Colorado, Arizona, and Washington required; active Teacher licenses in Colorado, Arizona, and Washington preferred;• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience required;• Minimum of two (2) years of online teaching experience required;• Strong experience with Mac OS, Google Workspace, and Asana preferred;• Private, distraction-free, professional remote work environment with high-speed internet;• Ability and willingness to travel to assigned testing locations and physically proctor student assessments; and• Ability to pass required background checks.Job Type: Part-timePay: $25.00 per hourApplication Question(s):• Please list all state(s) where you currently hold or have previously held a professional license and if applicable, in what name if it differs from the name under which you have applied:• Do you have a degree in Education? • If you do not have an Education degree, have you completed a Teacher Preparation Program with student teaching and observation hours? • Are you able and willing to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 5:30pm Mountain Time (9:30am - 6:30pm Central time, 10:30am - 7:30pm Eastern Time)?• What state do you live and plan to work from? • Are you available for assignments from 2 to 8 weeks in length? • Are you open to teaching any grade (K-12) and any subject? • Are you currently under a teaching contract? • Are you related to a current Learning Network employee or were you referred to Learning Network by a current employee?
