Marketing & Content Creator

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hour Description The Marketing & Content Creator is a hands-on creative role focused on content creation, brand voice development, and storytelling. This position is ideal for someone who loves capturing real moments, turning them into compelling visual content, and shaping how a brand shows up across digital platforms. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and evolving our brand presence through video, photography, design, social media, and email marketing. Acting as a bridge between our company and the community, you’ll help define our voice, grow engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels—online and offline. Key Responsibilities Brand Voice & Strategy • Develop and maintain a clear, consistent brand voice across all platforms • Translate company values, culture, and initiatives into engaging, on-brand content • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging alignment across marketing and internal communications Content Creation & Media Production • Video Capture & Editing: • * Capture short-form and long-form video content for social media, email campaigns, and marketing initiatives • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook • Photography & Visual Assets: • * Capture and edit photography for social media, campaigns, portfolios, and internal use • Create platform-specific graphics and visual assets that align with brand standards Social Media Management • Manage social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) • Develop and execute a consistent posting schedule and content calendar • Write captions and copy that reflect brand voice and drive engagement • Engage with the community through comments, messages, and interactions on an ongoing basis • Monitor performance and adapt content based on engagement and trends Email Marketing • Develop, write, design, and implement email marketing campaigns • Build and manage email templates that align with brand voice and visual identity • Coordinate campaign timing, messaging, and calls-to-action Collaboration & Partnerships • Coordinate and manage collaborations with influencers, partners, and brands • Assist with outreach, content planning, and execution for partnerships • Ensure collaborations align with brand voice and visual standards Safety • Follow all OSHA regulations that pertain to your job • Report any work hazards to your supervisor or manager immediately • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for activities that will be assigned to you • Participate in all safety protocols and procedures training that are relevant to your position • Report and document all work related job injuries and accidents on Rexius provided form • Attend and participate in annual safety training Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Ability to embrace and meet our standards of Excellence – REI Reliability • * Doing what we are expected to do • Being honest and accountable for our actions • Being on time and on task • Always doing what we say we will Effort • * Working hard and consistent • Committed to doing our jobs extremely well • Making great products • Providing great service Integrity • * Honesty and transparency • Communication professionally and respectfully • Acting in the best interest of others Choosing the right thing over the easy thing • * Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. • Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including: telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Customer Management Software). • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom • Strong video editing and visual storytelling skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once • Portfolio of relevant work (video, photography, design, or social content) required upon Knowledge of OR-OSHA regulations and changes. • request • Ability to engender trust from the owners, managers, team members, and customers. • Ability to work cooperatively with management, team members, and customers. • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner. • Ability to accept constructive feedback. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality. • Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently. • Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities. Education / Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (preferred but not required) Special Requirements/Certifications/Licenses: • Valid Oregon Driver’s License Physical and Environmental Requirements: • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. • Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects. • Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position). • Vision: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. • Hearing: able to satisfactorily communicate with customers, owners, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations. • Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment. • Exposure to moderate noise levels. • Exposure to hectic, fast-paced, high anxiety environments.
