About the position The Merchandise Planner for .com in Hair at Sephora is responsible for managing brand planning, forecasting, and inventory allocation to ensure stock targets are met. This role involves collaborating with various teams to optimize inventory levels and drive business growth, while also analyzing sales data and developing strategies for new brand launches and liquidation of exit brands. Responsibilities • Own accurate monthly in-season Open to Buy (OTB) sales, gm%, receipt, and inventory adjustment projections. • Reconcile OTB Sales and Receipt projections to Replenishment/Demand Planning system forecasts. • Present at monthly cross-functional OTB meetings. • Create pre-season Brand Budget Plans in partnership with Inventory Directors, Merchants, and Vendors. • Develop new brand strategies, projected sales, inventory by SKU needs, and order flow setups for launch timeframes. • Partner with Demand Planning on forecast alignment and strategy. • Guide Merchandise Planning Assistants to prioritize newness and important orders, and communicate delays in key launches. • Analyze and validate sales and inventory needs for Key Initiatives, Animations, and promotions. • Conduct Newness hindsight and key initiatives analysis on a seasonal basis. • Develop liquidation strategy on exit brands/collections or overstock. • Communicate consistently with vendors on sales performance, in-stocks, and outstanding issues. • Validate productive assortment by analyzing and recommending presentation, items to discontinue, and items to develop. Requirements • 2-5 years of Supply Chain Planning experience. • Excellent technical skills in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word. • Ability to contribute new ideas and find solutions to business challenges in merchandising, operations, and finance. • Proven ability to interpret and synthesize data into intelligent business decisions. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and task management skills. • Clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Good negotiation skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities. • Keen attention to detail. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often-changing environment.
