Job Overview We are currently hiring part-time/casual staff (19 hours per week or less) for various positions in our retail operations, including Sales, Print Shop Technology, Loss Prevention, and Textbooks. As a part-time/casual Customer Service & Sales Assistant at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales and service initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome customers, demonstrating "active selling" and providing product information and guidance to ensure a high-quality customer service experience Assist in maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, setting up seasonal promotions/visual displays, and regularly monitoring assigned areas for product restocking and recovery Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute appropriate cash handling procedures Help receive and process incoming merchandise, assist with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests, and possibly handle seasonal perishable goods Support the digital and in-store shopping experience by assisting with responding to customer inquiries and providing solutions to customer needs Essential Qualifications Pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills, with a passion for working with the public Moderate computer/systems competency and excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to occasionally climb ladders and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to stand for long periods of time and work successfully as part of a team Dependability in attendance and punctuality, as well as flexibility in schedule based on business needs Preferred Qualifications Prior retail sales experience, although not required, is an asset Students are not eligible to apply to this position; please visit our student employment website for available opportunities Familiarity with retail operations, inventory management, and cash handling procedures is an advantage Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
