People Operations Manager
PEOPLE OPERATIONS MANAGER Goodside — Shared Services Group Who We Are: Goodside Partners is a family of healthcare companies working to make a difference in how people access and receive care. Our portfolio includes Tandem Health, Whole Body Health Physical Therapy, Mendwell Pelvic Health, and Ares Medical Billing. We're a remote-first team spread across the U.S. and around the world, and we're growing. The Opportunity: We're looking for someone to build and lead our People Operations function. Today, HR is handled by one of our founding partners alongside everything else on his plate. We've built a solid foundation with strong systems, working processes, a team that cares about each other, but we've reached the point where we need someone to take this on fully and make it their own. That's where you come in. You'll own everything that touches our people: payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and the systems that tie it all together. You'll report directly to a founding partner and have a fractional Head of HR in your corner as a mentor and strategic thought partner. Over time, you'll hire a small team and shift your focus toward bigger-picture work like performance management, compensation design, and culture. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a perfectly built machine and keep it running. It's a role where you'll take something good and make it great. If you're the kind of person who gets energized by building, improving, and leading, then this is for you. What You'll Do: You'll be the person our team relies on for anything people-related. Payroll runs smoothly because of you. Benefits questions get answered because of you. New hires feel welcomed and set up for success because of you. You'll master our systems (Rippling is the hub) and find ways to make them work better. You'll spot inefficiencies and fix them. You'll document what matters so nothing falls through the cracks. And as we grow, you'll grow too. You'll hire and lead a small team. You'll take on bigger strategic projects. You'll help shape what it feels like to work here. Who You Are: You've spent 4-6+ years in HR or People Operations, and you've touched all of it, not just one slice. You've worked in places where you had to figure things out on your own and build things that didn't exist before. You're organized in a way that borders on obsessive. Details matter to you. You communicate early and often, especially when something's off. You don't wait for problems to find you, you find them first. You pick up new technology quickly and enjoy mastering complex systems. You're coachable and know how to use mentorship without needing someone looking over your shoulder. Most of all, you want to build something. You're not looking for a job where you punch the clock and maintain the status quo. You want ownership, impact, and the chance to lead. Location & Logistics: This is a fully remote role, and we're hiring internationally through Employer of Record. We ask for at least 4 hours of overlap with U.S. Pacific time each day. Compensation: $30,000–$45,000 USD total compensation based on experience and location. Why Join Us: You'll have something rare: the chance to build a function from the ground up, with real autonomy and direct access to leadership. You'll have mentorship without micromanagement. And you'll be part of a team that's genuinely trying to do good work in healthcare. If that sounds like what you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you. Apply tot his job
