Product Portfolio Manager
Position Title: Product Portfolio ManagerDepartment: ProductReports To: Director of Product PortfolioLocation: US RemoteOverview: We are seeking a Portfolio Strategy Manager to support the Director of Product Portfolio Management in driving disciplined, data-driven portfolio planning across One Inc’s industry-leading Insurance Payments platform. This role will focus on investment allocation, lifecycle management, portfolio reviews, and innovation pipeline management. The ideal candidate will pair strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights, competitive trends, and business priorities into actionable recommendations.The Portfolio Strategy Manager will partner with Product leadership, Product Analysts, and cross-functional teams to prepare executive-level portfolio narratives, measure post-release performance against business value, and maintain visibility into portfolio health. This role will also coordinate PM capacity planning and training programs to support a high-performing product organization. Key Responsibilities:• Portfolio Lifecycle & Investment Management:• Partner with the Director of Product Portfolio Management to measure portfolio investments, evaluate ROI, and assess product lifecycle stages (growth, sustain, sunset).• Build and maintain portfolio maps to clearly articulate “what we are investing in vs. ROI vs. business strategy.”• Contribute to executive-level portfolio reviews, including investment trade-offs and performance updates. • Innovation & Market Insights:• By collaborating with Product Ops, and Product Line Leaders• Maintain an innovation pipeline to ensure that new opportunities are continuously evaluated and not lost in day-to-day execution. • Conduct ongoing market/competitor scans and analyze ecosystem trends to identify future growth opportunities.• Provide data-backed recommendations for new product ideas, partner integrations, or innovation bets. • Product Management Capacity & Training:• Coordinate with Product Analysts to manage PM capacity planning and resourcing. • Track, consolidate, and report on workload allocation across product teams. • Support the design and execution of product manager training programs in collaboration with leadership, ensuring consistency and professional growth across the team. • Cross-Functional Collaboration:• Work closely with Product Analysts, Product Managers, UX, Engineering, and Commercialization teams to align metrics, portfolio plans, and innovation initiatives.• Act as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring insights and portfolio evaluations are communicated effectively across the organization. Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or related field. MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred. • 5 years of experience in product management, portfolio strategy, business operations, or related roles (B2B SaaS, fintech, or insurtech preferred). • Strong analytical background with proven ability to build frameworks for portfolio evaluation, ROI analysis, and investment prioritization.• Familiarity with product lifecycle management and innovation pipelines. • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; proven experience preparing executive-level narratives. • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect product performance metrics to business outcomes. • Experience collaborating in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence. • Experience in managing KPIs and driving strategic initiatives. • Strong preference for candidates who can communicate visually through compelling presentations and data visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint, Figma, or Power BI.Desired Traits:• Action Oriented, Growth Mindset, Positive Outlook, Problem Solver, Self-starter, Demonstrates Ethical Behavior, Strong Drive, Team Player, Supportive & Adaptable to Change, Exudes a commitment to Personal &Professional DevelopmentPhysical Demands:The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
