[Remote] Affordable Housing Audit Manager - $120k-$170k - REMOTE

CyberCoders is seeking a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong commitment to affordable housing to lead audit engagements. This role involves managing audits for affordable housing projects, ensuring financial integrity, compliance with regulations, and mentoring junior auditors. Responsibilities• Lead and manage audits for affordable housing projects, with a focus on HUD, LIHTC, and other regulatory frameworks. • Oversee audit planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.• Analyze financial statements and operational data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. • Serve as a trusted advisor to housing developers, property managers, and nonprofit partners on financial and compliance matters. • Prepare and present audit findings to internal leadership and external regulatory bodies. • Stay current on evolving affordable housing regulations, tax credit programs, and industry best practices. • Mentor junior auditors and contribute to the development of audit methodologies tailored to affordable housing.Skills• Active CPA license (required). • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of audit experience, preferably in affordable housing, nonprofit, or public sector environments. • Deep understanding of HUD regulations, LIHTC compliance, and affordable housing finance structures. • Strong technical proficiency in audit procedures, financial reporting, and internal controls. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.• Passion for affordable housing and a commitment to serving underserved communities.
