[Remote] Data Engineer - Scala, Spark, Databricks

They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect and evolve shared data infrastructure, working on core data platforms and collaborating with various teams to deliver critical products and initiatives. Responsibilities • Architect, design, and build core data platforms and supporting services used by engineers, analysts, and data scientists • Develop and maintain large-scale distributed data processing systems • Work with massive datasets using modern data frameworks and cloud-based tooling • Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders to deliver critical products and initiatives • Contribute to technical strategy and help scale systems as the business grows Skills • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong background in data modeling, data pipelines, and data platform design • Deep experience building and debugging complex distributed systems • Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing frameworks • Proficiency in Scala and Spark, ideally with Databricks as well • Experience operating systems in cloud environments • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices • Strong Python skills • Experience building APIs or data-driven services Company Overview • The Cypress Group is a recruiting firm that supplies professionals with expertise in various areas like software engineering and DevOps.
