Responsibilities • Review, approve, or remove posts and comments according to moderation guidelines • Apply moderation actions using established macros and documentation • Moderate content primarily on forums, with limited Reddit coverage • Handle modmail by directing users to official support channels when needed • Escalate issues appropriately following internal procedures • Maintain a calm, empathetic, and technically accurate tone at all times Skills • Genuine interest in computer hardware and consumer technology • Practical, hands-on Linux experience with at least two different Linux distributions • Comfort moderating content in forums and Reddit communities • Ability to follow documentation closely and work independently • Reliable availability during after-hours and weekend shifts • Experience moderating technical or enthusiast communities • Familiarity with logistics, OS-related, or hardware troubleshooting discussions • Prior experience using moderation tools, macros, or rule-based workflows Company Overview • ModSquad is a digital engagement company that offers moderation, customer support, community management and social media services.
