Barrington James is currently supporting a confidential life sciences organization in their search for aSenior Vice President of Business Development. This key commercial leadership role involves shaping the regional commercial strategy, leading a team, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders in biotech and pharma. Responsibilities• Setting the commercial direction for the region and aligning it with global goals• Leading and developing a team of sales leaders, BD directors, and managers• Owning regional revenue targets, forecasting, and overall sales performance• Working directly with senior-level clients and serving as an executive sponsor for key accounts• Driving pipeline quality, pricing strategy, and complex contract negotiations• Collaborating closely with Operations, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and other commercial leaders• Representing the company at conferences, industry events, and client meetings• Continuing to build a strong commercial talent pipeline within the regionSkills• 15+ years in the life sciences services space, ideally within CRO/CDMO/CRDMO• Experience managing large sales or BD organizations• Ability to guide long-term commercial strategy and hands-on deal leadership• Strong communication skills with solid financial and analytical acumen• Experience at the C-suite level and in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles• Experience in developing teams and strengthening commercial disciplineCompany Overview• Barrington James has a true global reach, with its international HQ in London-Gatwick, continental hubs in Singapore.It was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in New York, New York, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
