We are proud of our staff from our national office in New York City as well as home offices across the county, who collaborate with our more than 2,000 AFS-USA Volunteers to deliver high quality programs and global education resources. These include immersion-based study abroad experiences in over 40 countries worldwide; opportunities to host foreign AFS exchange students; and global learning workshops and curricula for educator, schools and businesses. As a COA, you'll be an integral part of our Field Team, working closely with Regional Field Specialists and other stakeholders to achieve our regional and national hosting goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage Communities: Connect with organizations and individuals to promote AFS programs. Recruitment: Develop and implement targeted strategies. Event Support: Assist with volunteer-led events and outreach. Content Creation: Create social media content and promotional materials. Evaluate & Adjust: Assess and refine outreach efforts. Administrative Support: Help with host family placements and assist with paperwork, data entry and phone calls. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of relevant experience. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, Canva and social media platforms. Experience working collaboratively as a member of a virtual team. WORK EXPECTATIONS: AFS USA work hours are generally from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday EST; however, given the nature of this position, the specific schedule of this role will be discussed with the hiring manager.
