This is a full-time position, reporting to the VP of Platform, and involves collaboration with the entire team. The role is ideal for a self-starter with a background in accounting or investment banking, looking to harness their entrepreneurial spirit within a vibrant venture capital environment.The position supports the internal dynamics of a VC platform, offering a unique opportunity to learn the business of transitioning a fund from emerging to established status. The role involves comprehensive data collection and analysis, especially around financial reporting across portfolios. It also includes supporting valuation metrics, annual audit processes, impact assessments, and special projects. Candidates will gain skills in building financial models, cap tables, and exit scenario analyses.Responsibilities• Data collection and analysis for quarterly and annual financial reporting on 50+ private companies across three funds. • Building and maintaining a library of valuation metrics, including private and public trading multiples for comparable companies and M&A transactions. • Supporting annual year-end audits and semi-annual impact assessments, including managing data rooms and compiling impact data. • Creating charts, graphs, and slides to depict portfolio performance. • Engaging in broader platform work and operational tasks, including event support and market research for thought leadership and firm marketing.Requirements• 2-3 years of accounting or investment banking experience, ideally in tech, education, healthcare, or climate sectors. • Proficiency in various valuation techniques and financial statement analysis. • Extensive resourcefulness in gathering financial and operating data from diverse sources. • Demonstrated passion for gender equality and impact-driven work. • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining professionalism under pressure. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities, enabling effective teamwork and independent success. • The ability to thrive in a remote work environment. • A legally authorized status to work in the United States.
