The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Solutions Architect to join the Air Dominance, Air Proprietary 1 team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. We're seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative individual to lead and support the existing capabilities of an agile software program in the Phantom Works organization.Architect Cloud SolutionsDesign and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based architectures (bolthires Web Services or Azure) that align with business objectives and enhance operational capabilities. Lead the migration from on-premises to cloud-based solutions. DevOps Strategy DevelopmentLead the development of a comprehensive DevOps strategy, including bolthires/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions to streamline software delivery and improve deployment frequency. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and product management, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.Utilize industrial engineering principles to analyze existing systems and processes, identifying areas for optimization and waste reduction to improve overall efficiency. Define, collect, analyze, and refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for software delivery and team execution to ensure continuous improvement and accountabilityProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Lead the effort to develop and document best practices and methodologies for software development, deployment, and operations to ensure consistency and quality across the organizationLeads efforts to continuously drive solutions to answer the question "How do we operationally field higher quality end-to-end system software more frequently?" Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, present architectural designs, and provide updates on project progress.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps, and apply this knowledge to enhance our solutions.
