Special Projects Portfolio Manager
Job Description: • Reporting to the Director of Special Projects • Manage a portfolio of diverse projects within the Fiscally Sponsored Projects of Community Change/Action • Serve as main contact for assigned projects, conducting weekly check-in calls • Connect portfolio leads to internal Community Change Staff as needed • Ensure compliance with operational requirements and deadlines • Act as a strategic thought partner regarding operations, finance, and grants management • Track work, goals, and upcoming events/needs • Collaborate with Finance Team on documentation and accounting for revenue and expenses • Provide financial assessments and support for assigned projects • Monitor overall fiscal health of assigned projects, • Ensure compliance with all laws and draft contracts for vendors and consultants • Assist with onboarding new projects and staff as needed Requirements: • Eight years’ experience in nonprofit operational work and/or political campaigns • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy • Collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to problem resolution • Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision • Initiative and ability to execute work in an efficient manner • Proactive nature in using technology and systems to maximize efficiencies with tasks • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with supervisor, staff and vendors • Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and accounting software, strong Excel skills required • Knowledge of financial principles and practices in nonprofit organizations, including 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) activity • Commitment to Community Change / Action’s mission of empowering low-income community groups.
