Sr. Healthcare Product Consultant – Medicare Work Model: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Job ID: 00067203161 About the role: As a Senior Healthcare Product Consultant – Medicare, you will make an impact by shaping innovative product offerings for Cognizant TriZetto’s Elements portfolio and guiding clients through complex Medicare and Medicaid program requirements. You will be a valued member of our Product Management & Consulting organization, partnering with sales, marketing, engineering, and client executives to translate regulatory guidance and market trends into actionable product roadmaps, successful implementations, and measurable outcomes. In this role, you will: • Lead discovery with client executives and senior staff to understand needs across enrollment, reconciliation, encounters, and risk adjustment, and translate them into product recommendations and implementation plans. • Identify gaps and requirements using TriZetto/Elements processes and define technology solutions that align with client goals and industry direction (Cloud, SaaS, Service‑oriented architectures). • Interpret CMS and other agency guidance and drive those updates through the product implementation process and roadmap. • Define and evolve product roadmaps, business cases, and financial models; establish customer personas and market profiles; and translate insights into prioritized features. • Partner with Product Owners and Agile delivery teams to define features, scope initiatives, and support execution to plan. • Oversee commercialization and go‑to‑market readiness (training, collateral, enablement) and provide tactical support to sales and marketing. • Act as a cross‑functional bridge among technical, operational, and business teams to align priorities and execution. • Use data, usage analytics, and KPIs to inform decisions, measure post‑launch performance, and drive continuous improvement. • Ensure products meet healthcare regulatory, compliance, and security standards; lead client demos, kick‑offs, and knowledge‑transfer sessions. What you need to have to be considered: • 7+ years of experience in the software/healthcare industry in a product consulting or product management capacity focused on government‑sponsored programs. • Deep expertise in Medicare enrollment operations, with working knowledge of reconciliation, encounters, and risk adjustment. • Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory guidance (CMS and other agencies) and industry feedback into product requirements, roadmaps, and client implementations. • Proven experience collaborating with sales, marketing, engineering, and clients to deliver value and meet timelines. • Strong client‑facing communication and presentation skills, able to engage executives and senior stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience). These will help you stand out: • Medicare Fundamentals (TZU) certification. • Hands‑on experience with risk adjustment models (CMS‑HCC, HHS‑HCC, CDPS, etc.) and familiarity with Prescription Drug Events (PDE) and Part D reporting. • Experience working within large, complex, highly regulated organizations. • Strength in crafting business cases, value propositions, and clear product collateral. • Knowledge of TriZetto Elements products and experience operationalizing strategy across a portfolio. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
