Sr Manager, Software Engineering -18812 inRemote US in Cox EnterprisesSenior Software Engineering ManagerSummary :TheSenior Software Engineering Manager is a team member of a release train and is responsible and accountable for the quality and delivery of applications that make up complex systems serving customers. This role requires extensive knowledge of software development technologies, techniques and processes. The individual will lead a team of talented engineers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problems.Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities. Other key factors are strong communication skills, self-direction, and solid problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions. PrincipleResponsibilities:• Lead multiple dev teams both onshore and near/offshore• Direct and Manage full lifecycle of application development• Collaborate with Architects and principles to drive design framework alignment• Maintain a balance between building sustainable, high-impact projects while shipping software quickly• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis, Object-oriented Analysis and Design• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management• Understand and Manage the ERP Configuration and Document Management Platform Configuration teams, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets for ERP and Document Management Configuration projects. • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Ensure the quality of all deliverables and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. • Manage the full life cycle of ERP and Document Management Configuration projects, from inception to delivery. • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ERP and Document Management systems, and apply this knowledge to projects.• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. • Provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to challenging technical problems. Required Skills:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 8 years experience, with at least 3 years in a management or lead role; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. • Automotive experience strongly desired including DMS and Content lifecycle• Proven experience managing teams of engineers and delivering projects on time and within budget.• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop team members. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to challenging technical problems. • Proven ability to be self-directed and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.Preferred Skills:• Experience managing complex production workloads, preferably in AWS/Cloud• Have a strong application development background, with experience in some or all of the following technologies:•.NET Core/Framework c#• AWS, (Fargate, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, etc.),• Git,, Terraform, NuGet, NPM, Docker, JSON And API DesignOther:• To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment background check and drug test. The salary rate may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience.
