Tutor Coordinator/RecruiterArete Educational Consulting is looking for a new team member to assist our lead counselors, coordinate tutors, and support operations. This position is perfect for someone passionate about recruiting and interviewing, with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a knack for multi-tasking. This is a remote position requiring 30+ hours per week, with potential for additional responsibilities based on business needs. ResponsibilitiesTutor Coordination and Hiring:• Work collaboratively to strategize tutor-student pairings and ensure smooth matching.• Post job listings, review applications, and conduct interviews for standardized test, and academic subject tutors. • Manage recruitment for junior college counselors as a separate hiring effort. The Classroom Door (TCD) Back-End Operations:• Monitor the TCD platform’s activity to ensure users are properly paired with tutors. • Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot issues to enhance the overall experience. • Document and communicate platform concerns to the developer. Admissions Support:• Attend counselor-client meetings, take detailed notes, and provide session summaries to clients.• Research summer programs, extracurricular opportunities, and contests/publications to support students during the application process. • Review and update written content in our proprietary College Counseling Guide to maintain accuracy and relevance. Logistics, Marketing, and PR Strategy:• Support ongoing outreach efforts for recruitment and engagement. • Contribute to marketing and public relations strategies to promote services. Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree from a top-tier institution. • Passion for education and interest in high school counseling, college admissions, or tutoring.• Proven self-starter with excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities. • Impeccable organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines. • Extraordinary grammar, writing, and editing skills, with experience in professional or academic settings. • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. • Tech-savvy and proficient with tools like bolthires Docs, Mailchimp, and other remote collaboration platforms. Preferred Skills:• Experience or interest in recruitment and hiring processes.• Familiarity with standardized test tutoring, academic support, or educational administration. • Bonus: A strong background in writing and editing for newsletters or related publications. Location• Remote position, with flexible scheduling. Compensation• $20/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Start Date• Immediate availability preferred.
