TheSenior Sourcing and Procurement Consultant (Partner) will lead the strategic sourcing, procurement and contracting efforts across the enterprise in support of the following categories: real estate services (administration and clinical portfolio), aviation, delivery services, data center, pharmacy operations and other indirect spend commodities as assigned.The successful candidate for this role will have superior experience with the end to end sourcing & procurement process, analytical and risk management skills, and exceptional business/supplier relationship management including consulting skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to identify risk, then, negotiation, and contract around it. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. PrimaryResponsibilities:• Lead the end to end procurement process from contracting and vendor management• Partner and develop strategic internal and external relationships• Develop and execute category management strategies• Understand market trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and identify emerging opportunities• Responsible for the development, redlining and negotiation of strategic and complex vendor contracts, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and amendments in cooperation with legal, internal stakeholders and external business partners• Ability to develop reports and analyze data to make necessary business decisions and hold suppliers accountable to contract commitments• Understand business objectives and strategies and offer enterprise methodologies• Engage and understand the business through onsite process and product reviews• Support the development of impactful supplier SLAs or key performance indicators (KPIs)• Ensure compliance with all government regulations and internal policies and procedures• Participate as a member of business project teams• Support business reviews with top suppliersYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Years of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience. RequiredQualifications:• 5+ years of category management experience, including contract management, drafting, development, redlining, and negotiation experience• 5+ years of project/program management experience• Demonstrated work experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics and Transportation management• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects and tasks, and effectively prioritize work• Demonstrated executive level verbal and written communication including negotiation skills• Ability to travel up to 25% or as necessaryPreferredQualifications:• Experience with MS Office, solid excel and power point skills• Experience with Ariba, Service Now and PeopleSoftCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only:The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300 per year.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
