We’re a small, fast-moving indie team working on a skill-based narrative rich 3D drag racing game with unique ship customizations and character designs. The twist? The mechanics are a perfect blend of sim-racing depth with anime-arcade vibes. Precision and timing. Redlining. Clutching. Shifting. Spooling turbos. Overheating. Think high-stakes exhilaration of going fast, the smile it puts on your face, delivered on mobile. Our focus is on tight gameplay, over the top Sfx feedback, and a short narrative-driven (no pun intended) campaign.We’re looking for a Unity developer who loves building things that feel good to play, and is excited to dive into a whimsical sci-fi universe with playful storytelling and witty dialogue. What You’ll Do• Develop gameplay systems that simulate realistic driving (e.g., torque curves, acceleration, overheating, clutch timing) from an arcade-friendly angle• Narrative integration — implementing dialogue moments, character interactions, and level-based story progression; working closely with writers to bring lore and personality onto the screen• Collaborate on UX/UI to make gameplay systems intuitive and engaging• Optimize performance for a range of iOS & Android devices to ensure reliable, low-lag experiences• Working closely with a small, passionate team where your ideas actually shape the gameWho You Are• You’re comfortable working with physics-based gameplay systems and understand fundamentals like thrust, torque, acceleration, and friction• Comfort with physics-based gameplay (vehicle physics, animation curves, event-driven systems, tuning for feel)• Experience or enthusiasm for anime/toon-shaded visuals — familiarity with toon shaders, cel outlines, stylized lighting, or shader graphs is a plus• You have a keen eye for intuitive UX/UI design, with an appreciation for simplicity• You thrive in small, collaborative teams and take ownership of your workBonus Points• Experience with mobile optimization (e.g., frame pacing, asset compression, input tuning)• Examples of strong UX/UI design or mock-bolthires• An interest in sci-fi, stylized worlds, or racing games• Familiarity with backend solutions (PlayFab, Firebase, AWS Gamelift, etc.)• Examples of creative sound design or rhythm mechanicsWhat We Offer• Creative input in worldbuilding, mechanics, and narrative on a project with a unique visual identity and storytelling• Collaborative, creative team environment with direct input into game design• Long-term potential for profit sharing or equity for core contributors• Flexible remote work scheduleAdditional Details• Location: Remote• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire• Engine: Unity (C#)• Platform: iOS & AndroidSend us:• A short intro about yourself and why this project excites you• Examples of your work (GitHub, portfolio, or playable demos)• Anything you’ve done related to mobile, narrative, or physics-based gameplayLet’s build something fun and meaningful.Apply tot his job
