Tracking Code14435-096Job DescriptionOverview:The ideal individual for our marketing analytics & marketing science role would love data…and loves to tell the story about what the data and analysis reveal. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop great reporting tools with our analytics team. This data scientist role will report directly to the CMO, and be responsible for working with the CMO, the extended marketing team, our internal IT/analytics department and our media partners and vendors to gain access to the right data, understand the deliverables, work with and process the data, create analytic models for performance analysis and predict behavior as well as draw insights and provide strategic guidance and direction.We are a data-driven, multi-unit retail health organization and this role is key to our success! Responsibilities include:• Lead data science initiatives focused on revenue growth and customer retention/repurchase driving improved business efficiency, campaign performance and customer LTV through customer behavior predictability, personalization, marketing attribution models etc. • Lead the development of innovative tests and next generation insights through the use of advanced modeling techniques, and data science capabilities• Create a data science platform to test and experiment with techniques including advanced analytics, churn, and behavioral modeling capitalizing on new approaches to data science that can yield revenue and/or bolster customer usage• Understand the why behind the behavior of the funnel• Take total ownership of marketing results• Create marketing analytics process / best practices• Execute and analyze/optimize media reporting to ensure plans are ‘on track’ to meet goals and objectives• Manage response data and provide analysis on media delivery, performance, ROI• Strategize with CMO to ensure media and creative work together for ROI• Design & Maintain reports & database(s) while analyzing current and historic results• Prepare/present analysis, findings and recommendations both internally and with media/vendor partners• New Business: Formulate response for approach/strategy with new business development/strategy team as well as participate in presentation(s)• Work with CMO so marketing is a disciplined, data driven, analytics driven metrics driven system• Increase customer acquisition while decreasing the bolthires per acquisition• Own the data, analytics, and reporting functions to empower the team and guide business decisions• Work closely with our CMO and channel leads to drive high visibility analytics projects, with topics ranging from attribution, channel optimization, targeting, experiment design including multivariate creative testing and spending decisions• Drive the multi-touch attribution model as key driver of spending decision making across all channels• Continuously identify opportunities for improved channel growth and lead the development of data-driven channel strategiesQualifications / Skills:• 10+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics role, strategic marketing, data sciences, business intelligence or a related• Strong ability to manage large datasets using Business Intelligence tools• Ability to present succinct analysis to business leaders and executives• Proficient in advanced predictive analytics techniques (Segmentation, Marketing Mix Modeling, Attribution, Forecasting, Survey Analysis)• Experience with web tracking tools like Adobe and bolthires Analytics• Strong analytical skills and business acumen working with multiple large sources of data to create evidence-based insights• Excellent communicator for non- technical audience• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills• Strong cross-functional partner with capacity to build alignment across functions• Ability to balance short-term insights needs with building a longer-term foundation of self-serve tools• Track record of thought leadership and deep familiarity with the latest and greatest in qualitative and quantitative research design• Proven hands-on experience building intuitive, yet multi-faceted reports and dashboards• Ability to understand and interpret data, and present findings• bolthires SQL (including knowledge of writing stored procedures and queries) and expert knowledge of Excel• Expert with PowerPoint with ability to display/illustrate complex data in a simplified, executive, easy-to-understand manner• Strong problem structuring and solving skills – including data structuring, quantitative reasoning and implications development• Ability to aggregate a variety of different research sources into a cohesive direction• Ability to integrate offline and online data into a unified story• Ability to speak to offline and online research and analytics in our new business efforts• Outstanding communication skills; must be adept at quickly building and maintaining• Demonstrate strong understanding of marketing campaign analyses, ability to assist customer and campaign segmentation with advanced and predictive modeling relationships with partners while providing ongoing performance analysis• Strong track record of effectively managing funnel improvement projects• Deep familiarity and embrace of all funnel metrics, levers and opportunity areas• Must understand Direct Response• Ability to monitor daily performance to identify new opportunities or problems that may ariseAdditional Experience, Knowledge & Skills• Knowledge of analytics tools and data mining such as Toad, bolthires Analytics and Adobe Site Catalyst, R, Rapid Miner• Experience with Visualization Tools such as Tableau, Qlikview and Domo• Knowledge of backend database structures, IMS, PowerPoint, Nielsen AdViews & Netratings• Bright, energetic, analytical, problem-solver• Self-director, action-oriented• Critical thinker, proactive in proposing tests, ideas, solutions, channel strategies• Innovative, creative, and desire to play nice with internal and external partners• Excellent organization, task and project management skills• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
