Wholesale Lending Mortgage Product & Credit Risk Analyst

This role reports up through the Wholesale Lending Risk and Product Manager and will support the development and maintenance ofThe Dart Bank’s Wholesale Lender Product Guide and related matrices. This role assists with updating internal and external materials, conducting research on investor guideline changes, answering guideline questions and helping to ensure compliance with bank and investor credit policies.This individual can work both independently and cohesively with others in a team environment. They maintain an attitude of approachability and willingness to assist in troubleshooting with customers, Dart Bank departments and 3rd parties as needed. PrimaryDuties:• Mortgage Loan Product & Credit Guide Support:• Assist in updating and maintaining the Credit Policy guidelines and related credit matrices under the guidance of senior leadership. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product documentation is accurate and current.• Prepare draft communications for product or guideline changes for internal and external stakeholders. • Assist in answering guideline questions from the underwriting and sales team. • Maintain subject matter expertise to support business partners with respect to credit policy and investor guide questions related to GSE, FHA, VA, and Private Investors. • Risk & Compliance Monitoring:• Monitor investor guidelines (GSE, FHA, VA, private investors) and summarize key changes for leadership. • Conduct basic research and provide data to support product and credit policy recommendations.• Cross-Functional Coordination:• Help coordinate updates with operations, underwriting, and compliance teams to implement changes to products or credit guidelines. • Track progress and follow up on deliverables for new product rollouts or updates. • Back up Risk Analysts as needed, including Broker Approval Reviews, New User Set bolthires, Settlement Agent Reviews and Data Entry. • Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act. • Other duties as assigned. Experience/Experience:• 5-7+ years of related professional experience in the mortgage banking industry.Preferably past work experience includes underwriting, credit risk, quality control/assurance. • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or equivalent experience. • Expert knowledge of agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA). • Knowledge of residential mortgage products, borrower credit, underwriting methods and standards, and the risks associated with using third-party providers in the mortgage origination process. • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow processes.• Articulate and proficient in both written and verbal communication.
