THE ROLE We’re looking for an Android Developer who combines strong mobile fundamentals with a modern, innovation-driven mindset. You’ll help build and evolve our Android SDK and internal tooling, working alongside experienced engineers in a product-focused environment. You’ll be encouraged to challenge existing approaches, introduce better ways of working, and use AI and automation wherever it meaningfully improves outcomes. This role suits someone with solid commercial Android experience who wants real impact without being boxed into rigid processes. What you ll be doing: Build and maintain the Storyteller Android SDK, used by globally recognised brands Deliver features end-to-end, from implementation to release Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable Android code Use AI tools to: Accelerate implementation and refactoring Improve test coverage and reliability Debug complex issues more effectively Generate and maintain documentation Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making Write well-tested code and participate in thoughtful code reviews Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams Improve development workflows, CI, and internal tooling Identify and reduce technical debt in a pragmatic, continuous way Investigate and resolve production issues, sharing learnings with the team Over time, you ll also: Take ownership of increasingly complex features and components Help break down work into clear tasks and estimates Provide constructive feedback to teammates Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders Qualifications Core experience: 2–5 years of commercial Android development experience Strong Kotlin skills and a solid understanding of Android fundamentals Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose Experience with Coroutines and asynchronous programming Experience consuming REST APIs and working with Git Familiarity with Gradle Understanding of modern Android architectural patterns (e.g. MVVM, MVI) Experience writing unit tests and working with Android test frameworks Comfortable working in a CI-driven environment Strong written and spoken English Mindset matters as much as skills: Curious, proactive, and comfortable working with ambiguity Willing to experiment, measure results, and iterate Open to feedback and eager to continuously improve Thinks about leverage, automation, and scalability—not just writing code Nice to have: Experience with Hilt or Dagger Familiarity with Clean Architecture principles Experience building or maintaining Android libraries or SDKs Exposure to Flutter or React Native Open-source contributions or an active Git Hub profile HOW WE WORK We encourage experimentation and thoughtful risk-taking We expect developers to take ownership of their outcomes We actively support the use of AI and modern tooling to improve how we build software Recruitment Process Initial call with a member of our hiring team Short paid technical test Technical interview with Filip (Head of Mobile) and Artem (Senior Android Developer) Final conversation with Filip, Artem, and Dave (CTO) #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply tot his job
