Our brand must reflect this scale, ambition, and trust from day one. The RoleWe are looking for a world-class brand designer to create the full foundational identity for Cofound — including a timeless wordmark, a scalable icon, typography system, color language, and a polished identity system that feels at home among the world’s most sophisticated tech brands.This is not a “logo” job. This is a chance to design an identity that becomes a core piece of infrastructure in the startup world. Cofound should immediately signal:• Institutional trust• Technical credibility• Ambition and gravitas• Stripe/Y Combinator/AngelList-tier qualityYour work will become the visual DNA for founders, investors, and the broader ecosystem. What You’ll OwnYou will lead the creation of Cofound’s full brand identity system, including:1. Logo + Icon System• A strong, timeless “cofound” wordmark• A standalone geometric/abstract icon representing partnership, platform, or connection• Compatibility for app icons, favicons, avatars, watermarks, and social presence2.Color System• Dark, neutral, modern institutional palette• Reserved, confident accent colors (electric/cyan spectrum)3. Typography System• Premium modern sans-serif for the brand• Recommended typefaces (licensing OK)• Cohesive font hierarchy for product, web, decks, and documentation4. Visual Identity Guidelines• Brand usage rules• Spacing, grids, iconography direction• Examples for decks, social, app UI, and documentation• “Backed by Cofound” lockups for portfolio companies5. Design Language for the Cofound Platform(Optional but preferred)• High-level direction for product visuals, dark mode-first UI, and design tokensWho We’re Looking ForYou are ideal for this if you:• Have designed identities for tech companies, venture firms, fintechs, devtools, or institutional brands• Understand the difference between “startup cute” and institutional, infrastructure-level trust• Are comfortable designing for an audience of serious technical founders (18–30)• Have a strong portfolio with clean, modern, timeless identities• Think strategically about how a brand scales across thousands of touchpoints• Obsess about craft, typography, negative space, and precision• Can work fast while still holding a high standard of design discipline• Are based in the USA (preferred)• Bonus: experience designing for YC/Stripe-style ecosystems or founder-focused platformsWhyThis Role Is Unique• This identity will influence thousands of companies over the next decade• You will work directly with Cofound’s founder (operator who has built multiple 7–8 figure companies)• You will shape the public face of a platform designed to become a global institution• The brand will be seen across venture decks, news coverage, launches, accelerators, events, and founder portfolios• The work will have long-term visibility and prestige within the tech ecosystemCofound must feel inevitable — and your work will make that possible.Requirements• 5+ years identity/brand design experience• Strong portfolio demonstrating tech/B2B/venture/infra brands• Ability to deliver a full identity system, not just a logo• Deep understanding of minimal, modern, geometric design• Fluency in Figma and brand guideline creation• Excellent communication and reasoning around design decisionsNice to Have• Experience designing for founder ecosystems or devtools• Understanding of the “trust aesthetic” in modern tech branding• Knowledge of typography and type foundries• Experience embedding identity into digital product UICompensationCompetitive project fee + future ongoing work opportunities.Please send:• Your portfolio (required)• A short intro explaining why you’re a fit• 2–3 identity systems you’ve designed that best match the aesthetic we’re aiming forTo: [email protected] Apply tot his job
