We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to manage a growing caseload in California. Job Summary In this role, you will be the lead counsel for our clients’ estate and probate matters. You will handle everything from drafting foundational estate documents to representing executors in Probate Court. This is a remote-first position that offers flexibility while requiring the high level of professionalism expected in legal practice. Key Responsibilities • Estate Planning: Consult with clients to understand their goals and draft customized legal instruments including Revocable Living Trusts, Wills, Power of Attorney, and Advance Healthcare Directives. • Probate Litigation & Administration: Represent clients in California Probate Court for estate administration, petitioning for probate, and resolving contested estates. • Trust Administration: Guide trustees through the administration process, including asset distribution and beneficiary communications. • Legal Strategy: Develop comprehensive wealth preservation and tax-saving strategies tailored to California laws (e.g., Prop 19 implications). • Client Advocacy: Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing clarity and peace of mind during sensitive life transitions. Qualifications • Licensure: Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California (Required). • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Estate Planning and Probate law within California. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using legal software/CRMs and comfortable with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.). • Communication: Exceptional drafting skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients with empathy. • Independence: Self-motivated and able to manage a full caseload with minimal administrative oversight.
