You will be the first point of contact for our customers, and your role will be to provide exceptional service, resolve issues, and exceed customer expectations. **Key Responsibilities** The following are the fundamental elements of the job. Management may change the job or require different tasks to be performed when functionally necessary, noting, of course, any legal commitments, including any collective bargaining commitments. * Issue, reissue, and refund traveler tickets * Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations * Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations * Perform traveler check-in and front seat tasks (excluding curbside), correct oversold seat tasks, and issue upgrades * Issue vouchers and assist with coordinating with project workers for traveler lodging facilities, meals, and transportation; coordinate refuel and refresh * Perform traveler loading, including ticket lift and ticket lift/check * Operate gate reader/scanner and related duties to include pre-boarding, observing/checking carry-on items and departure line models * Operate jetways/bridges for purposes of boarding and deplaning travelers * Make boarding and departure gate announcements * Convey domestic/international flight records * Perform traveler service flight close-out methods * Accept, check, and label travelers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters * Maintain schedule of flight loading process * Perform customer service hands-on training * Process and complete credit card baggage exchanges at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Assist travelers with self-service kiosk check-in and baggage handling at ticket counters * Man line lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters * Clear/confirm international documents at booth in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Accept and activate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations * Assist clients requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and shipping non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, or unaccompanied minors * Perform customer service work related to handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements * Have regular and predictable attendance on location, including fulfilling any obligatory overtime requirements * Answer and assist during security and emergency situations * Provide interfacing traveler door information * Provide quality customer service in a professional manner and according to American's policies * Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance guidelines * Complete task-related stages of training * Comply with applicable laws (e.g. DOT, FAA, TSA) * Utilize various internal assets/frameworks including during customer interactions * Wear uniform as required by company policy **Sensible accommodations may be made for qualifying individuals with disabilities.** **Depending on your airport size, you may also perform the following:** * Perform Traveler Activity Control capabilities including air to ground communication along with Peak capabilities * Help international travelers through customs/migration, including baggage re-check * Convey tickets, international flight reports, and customs/migration forms **All you'll need for success** * Least Capabilities + Education and Prior Professional training + Bilingual language abilities required in certain areas + Relevant valid driver's license as required by local authorities + Should meet FAA criminal history verifications to meet requirements for unescorted access awards to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable + Should be able to obtain proper airport power and US Customs security identifications, if material + Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, or potentially fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements + Should be approved to work in the U.S. * Favored Capabilities + Training and Prior Professional training + Working knowledge of Saber or other Traveler Service Framework + Past face-to-face Customer service experience **What you'll get** Join arenaflex and take advantage of all that we have to offer: * Medical benefits: On the very first day, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay great.
